For most of our drivers the war against Zero was the first one in Rounds-Mode* ever. This time, the main point wasn't to
set good times; Consistant driving and precise drifting were the most important features we needed for this war.
Besides old Nadeo maps, Minis and Shorties are probably our strongest tracks, so we decided to choose "Orange Mini #3", "Mini for Beginners #2",
"Hot Mini #1" and "LSB Shorttrack #1". Our opponent decided to choose maps that are longer and that way harder to train on short notice. They picked "Touched by the Devil", "Duo-Style >Zero<", "Party Tech!" and "Drift&Shift".
The war started out really wonderful for us: The first four maps, which were the maps chosen by us, went really smooth and the outcome was perfect for us.
On all of our tracks we managed to win them 5:0! From now on a defeat was impossible for us and only a draw could have been our worst result.
At this point, our opponents' confidence was assumely scattered. Then "Touched by the Devil", the ~50 Seconds long tech map and the
first challenge of our opponent, followed. Even this track we could manage to win 5:0, and with that result our victory was confirmed!
The next map was Drift&Shift and it was the only one Zero was able to win, but even with a scanty 4:5. Now the last two maps were left and we were able to win both of them, but again after struggled results of 5:4.
After this first match in Rounds-mode with this squad, I might say we came up with a very nice and a pleasuring match.
GG Pelicans!
We'd also like to thank Zero for giving the well-organized and enjoyable match, a warm greeting for them from us all!
* Rounds-Mode: In Rounds-Mode a good time isn`t the key for a victory like in Time Attack. Secure and exact driving is the main thing to aim at instead.
There are two teams, red and blue, and round by round it`s important for a team to get the most players on top ranks. After the round has ended, the points of each team are counted by the following structure and the team with the most points wins!
1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 9 points
3rd place = 8 points
4th place = 7 points
and so on...
